The Comfort H/S Bite Splint™ is a proactive step in protecting your patient’s existing healthy teeth. This bite splint is a  customized appliance that fits over the upper or lower teeth during sleep that can offset the effects of bruxing or clenching while protecting the teeth from daily wear and tear. Two layers make up the Comfort H/S Bite Splint: a 1 mm soft, comfortable polyurethane inner layer and a 3 mm hard, durable copolyester outer layer. 

The Comfort H/S™ is now available in all colors of the rainbow and can even be fabricated to glow in the dark or with glitter! 

  • Product features a soft polyurethane inner layer that rests comfortably against the teeth and gums

  • Indicated for severe bruxing/clenching

Care and Maintenance

  • Brush and floss your teeth before placing the Comfort H/S Hard Soft Bite Splint in your mouth. 
  • Do NOT soak the bite splint in mouthwash, denture cleaner or alcohol 
  • Do NOT place the bite splint in hot or boiling water or expose to excessive heat (such as direct sunlight). This may distort the appliance 
  • After use, rinse the bite splint with water and store dry 
  • Clean the bite splint with soap and warm water only 
  • If the bite splint becomes loose, tight or causes you any discomfort, contact your dentist immediately

  • Outer Adjustments (Hard outer material): Use a pear-shaped bur and a high-torque, low-speed handpiece 
  • Internal Adjustments: Heat a clean surgical blade and relieve tight areas

Limited Warranty/Limitation of Liability: Oral Arts Laboratories (“the lab”) warrants that all dental devices (a “device”) are made according to your specification and approval in the belief that the device will be useful and makes no other warranties including, but not limited to, any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. This limited warranty extends only to the original purchaser of a device and does not extend to patients or other individuals and/or entities to whom the device(s) is/are sold, implanted, inserted or delivered. Subject to the return of a device that is placed and then fails due to defects in materials or workmanship, the lab will repair or remake the device without charge or for a partial charge based on original invoice price, at the lab’s option, as follows:Splints up to 6 months
