Care and Maintenance

Fitting: If the appliance is too tight, heat in 105-degree water for about 10 seconds, then place in the patient’s mouth while soft. Never bite the splint in place, instead push into place with fingers until fully seated.
Cleaning: This is a thermo-activated material that should be cleaned only with cold water and a light soap, do not use strong denture cleaners, etc.
